about Solaris

Hi all,

Does Tamino version 2.3.1.2 support only Sun Solaris 7 ?
Is it possible to use this Tamino version with Sun Solaris 8 ??

Officially Tamino 2.3.1 is only supported on Solaris 7 32bit. So I suspect it may work on Solaris 8 (it certainly does on Solaris 7 64 bit). I believe that there will be a true 64 bit version of Tamino for Solaris 8 in the coming few months (I don’t know of any firm dates).

If all this can be useful I can says that Tamino 2.3.1.2 works fine also with Sun Solaris 8.
At least about my experience.

…yes, but take heed in that it is not supported. So if you have a strange problem that is particular to running Tamino on Solaris 8 then you will not be supported. I must admit I haven’t had any compatability problems running on Solaris 7 64 bit.
