wM 6.5.1 - Deployer - No models listed in Define step

Section - Model Build generation and deployment [Define step]
Problem definition - No models are listed in Select Modeller items section during Define step of Model build generation and deployment.

Solution - The first step is to try reloading the packages wmDeployer and wmDeployerResource. Once after reload try refreshing the page ‘Select Modeller items’.

If the above try fails then try executing the following steps as per the scenarios

Creating a new process by importing a .model file [From file system]
If the process already exists [Follow step A]
If its a new process[Follow step B]

STEP A

  • Take a backup of the existing model from modeller by exporting as a model file
  • Delete the old version of the model file in modeller
  • Take a backup of the package for the old Model[Design server created]in IS from developer [Export as ZIP file]
  • Delete the package from IS
  • Login to webMethods Portal
  • Move on to webMethods configuration tab
  • Check if the business process is used. [Value for Used is Yes / No]
  • If No select and delete the business process
  • If Used is yes, try to complete all the business process instances.
If instance is not able to complete try completing from the backend by setting STATUS as 2 in WM tables.
  • Once when business process used status is changed to NO. delete the business process
  • Import the new .model file from FileSystem in model
  • Click Update Model For monitoring. It will validate, generate the business process, creates a new IS Package for the model and creates a business process in webMethods portal [webMethods configuration]
  • Confirm and reload the packages wmDeployer and wmDeployerResource
  • Open deployer - Create a new project - Create DeploymentSet - Check Modeller
  • Refresh the page and check whether the new models are listed now.

STEP B

  • Import the new .model file from FileSystem in model
  • Click Update Model For monitoring. It will validate, generate the business process, creates a new IS Package for the model and creates a business process in webMethods portal [webMethods configuration]
  • Confirm and reload the packages wmDeployer and wmDeployerResource
  • Open deployer - Create a new project - Create DeploymentSet - Check Modeller
  • Refresh the page and check whether the new models are listed now
