I cannot find an explanation in the wiki-based help for the last field on the Field form entitled “Extended Meta Data”.
Anyone know what the intended use of this field is?
I have attached a screen capture of the field I am talking about.

Hi Howard,
As name suggest Extended Meta Data is used to provide little more extra description on the field.
You can mention these informations- for Example-
If this field is being used in validations, field scripts, or it is getting changed from business rule etc…
There is one more “Field Hint/Description”- basically this is used to describe the purpose of the field in the object.
