[//]: # I am posting a question from a free trial user in Cumulocity IoT (Smart Agriculture Demo):
I am trying the Smart Agriculture demo. I will customize it and use it for Smart Irrigation. I understand that the fan speed in the demo is random value. Can I make the fan speed increase as the air temperature increases?
Is it possible doing with “controlled by operation” ? And how?
Can you help?
Thanks,

You asked the question “Can I make the fan speed increase as the air temperature increases?”
The simulators are designed to be controlled by operations so you can use generate an operation in the number of ways:
- Use a smart rule.
- Use the device control plugin Release 1.0.0 · SoftwareAG/cumulocity-device-control-plugin · GitHub to generate an operation manually.
- Use a a streaming analytics block to create the operation.
Once the operation is fired you have the simulator in application builder to listen for the operation and change its behavior.
Hope that helps.

Matthew
