Several IS using the same Database

Hello,

I installed 2 IS on a different machines (VMs) , and i want using the same external database for the both IS.
Is this possible , and what’s the impact and the problems the i might encounter ?

Hi Hatim,

please differentiate between database instance and database schema/user.

One database instance can serve several database schema/users.

So one database instance can be used with several independent IS installations as long as each of the instances has its own set of database schema/users.
When the IS installations are meant to form a cluster then it is required that they use the same schema/user for all of them.
