Remote server connectivity - to local host : access denied

Hi,

I tried to connect to the local host using the remote servers but facing the below error.
“java.net.SocketException: Permission denied: connect”.

This is in webMethods 9.6. Can any one help?

When you create the remote server alias you mention the user, check whether this user is able to access the IS page that your are trying to connect remotely.

The error says “permission denied” and also check if there is any network connectivity issue.

Additionally check for Security → Ports, if the Port has the correct Access Mode.

Might be that the call get blocked here.

Can you share an overview of your Ports and RemoterServers pages?
