Methods for Load testing WebMethods to find the true throughput

Hi,

I was just checking if anyone had any methods that were successful in testing the webMethods piece of your application?

I was first thinking of writing a java program that would spit out data instead of connecting to an erp.

This way we get a true picture of what webMethods can do.

However, I am not sure what tool I should be using to try and loadtest.

Should I just use loadrunner or write a customer application to act as the loadtester?

If anyone has any ideas let me know.
