I am trying to upgrade the JDBC adapter to 4.2.1 and have 4.2.0 already installed. When trying to uninstall the existing version using control panel-add/remove programs, nothing happens. No error, nothing. When I go to the C:\wment41\uninstallJDBC\uninstallJDBC.exe and click on that, also nothing. I need to uninstall the old one and install the new one. Is there a manual work-around?
Answered my own question. Here is the manual work-around:
To manually uninstall the JDBC Adapter if the automated un-install fails on a Win platform:
Delete the following files/folders:
c:\wment41\lib\jdbcAdapter42.jar
c:\wment41\install\JDBC-ALL-Any.contents
c:\wment41\etc\adapters\jdbcAdapter16.gif
c:\wment41\etc\adapters\jdbc_adapter.cfg
c:\wment41\samples\jdbc
c:\wment41\install\JDBCTUTORIAL-ALL-Any.contents
c:\wment41\doc\jdbc
c:\wment41\uninstallJDBC
Edit the C:\WINNT\vpd.properties and delete any line that has a reference to JDBC in it.
Now run the install.
