Java Service to take input as Directory

hai experts,
can anybody tell me how to write a java service so that when we give input a current directory ,the files in directory should be displayed as output in the order of date.please help me as soon as possible

Do you want to get the current directory on the client side? That would need the client app to be aware of the filesystem and pass that to the WM IS service. If your IS is on windows and you specify “c:\windows” that will be relative to the servers filesystem. If you are ok with access the server side directories, you can use the java.io.File class to access directory information. Sun Microsystems provides online documentation of their Java language API:
