IS is not coming up when oracle database is down

Hi,

The webMethods 7.1.2 IS is not coming up when the Oracle database is down. The below property has been set in ‘server.sh’ file. However, it seems the property is not taking effect.

FT_DEFAULT_READ_TIMEOUT=300000
FT_DEFAULT_CONNECT_TIMEOUT=300000

Please let me know if anyone of you faced this problem.
