Integration of 2 SAP systems

Hello All,

We have a requirement where we need to integrate 2 SAP systems .Is that possible to integrate 2 SAP systems.
Ex: Source an SAP system -Get an idoc from source SAP and send an idoc to Target SAP.
We are currently running on IS 7.1.2 and SAP adapter on 6.5.
Many thanks in advance ,for your quick response!

Regards,
Raghu

Yes. This is possible with the version of IS and SAP Adapter that you are using.

Thanks for your reply Senthil !

Now we need to integrate 2 SAP systems one SAP system at our organization network and other SAP system is out of our organization network and both SAP instances will connect to same IS . Can you please explain a high level architecture or flow how we can achieve this .
Is that just sufficient to create another RFC connection by giving the IP address of the external SAP and opening the Firewall for the external SAP IP.
Thanks in advance!

Ofcourse you do need 2 RFC destinations/alias connections for connecting to 2 different ECC systems to differentiate and create the other assets (listeners, adapter services, notifications etc…) using those from same IS

Also it’s better uprade65 to SAP Adapter 7.1 with Fix7 release for your IS and improve performance (check the latest JCO files supported by it)
