CAF Samples location

Hi every body i have been experimenting with webmethod and i have two questions:

*is there any where i can download some MWS samples i have downloaded some samples but they are for CAF 7.11 andn i want fot 9.7 is there are any links available (normally they should be in repo github)
*second question: can we developpe a UI responsive app using portlets ??
