Broker not connected ...

" Broker unable to open connection on localhost"

this is the message I see in the server log

And in the Administor console it is showing as broker connected : “No”…

what could be the reason behind this… pls do it if anyone knows the solution.

Hi Kalyan,

please provide more details about the issue together with version numbers of Broker and IS.
Also provide the complete error message from the server log.

Additionally you should check if replacing localhost with the real hostname solves the issue.

Is this issue resolved? Still you are facing this.

Make sure your broker monitor/server is up and running. Restart the IS once and check the if it is able to connect.

If still issue exists kindly share the error message from server.log

versions of my webMethods:

Integration server v 7.1

Broker v 7.1

I uninstalled and re-installed the Broker Server.

in the IS Admin console it says "connected " "yes" in the messaging → broker

but in the console when I use "server.bat -log none" , Integration server is up and running and broker is also configured properly… but

I fine " StringIndexOutOfBounds Exception" … why is that

Hi Clay,

can you provide the complete StackTrace of the Exception please?

Also provide more detailed version info (or is it definitely 7.1.0?).

Latest versions of the wM 7.1 stream are IntegrationServer 7.1.3 and Broker 7.1.2.

My version is Integration server 7.1.0.0 and the broker 7.1

Hi Clay,

are you using Optimize for Infrastructure?

If so, please configure the WmOptimize package accordingly.

If not you should consider disabling or uninstalling the following packages resp. components:

  • WmArtExtDC
  • WmISExtDC
  • WmOptimize
  • WmTNExtDC (if Trading Networks is used too)
  • Optimize Support for IntegrationServer

Please consider upgrading to Broker 7.1.2 and IS 7.1.3 as this will be the base for further migrations to recent versions.
