HI, pls give the difference between ADASTRIP and ADAULD .

  1. does ADASTRIP has performance issues compared to ADAunload
  2. when extracting data from ADABAS, which utility is preferred.

ADAULD is a standard utility, packaged with Adabas. ADASTRIP is a 3rd-party product, with a separate purchase price.

There are situations where file maintenance requires the use of multiple Adabas utilities plus some (Natural) coding. ADASTRIP was created to handle those situations in a single job step with a single utility. ADASTRIP is nice to have, but not a necessity.
