Hi All,
We recently had an issue, that external systems which are consuming web services provided by webMethods are frequently getting 503 Service unavailable error. I have tried to get any information related to this, but no luck.
Can any one please suggest what could be the reason behind it and how to resolve this issue.
Regards,
Sunil
Hi Sunil,
is there anything in the server.log or error log of the IntegrationServer related to these Webservice invocations?
Regards,
Holger
Which version are you using?
I see MWS and WMN Fix related to “503 service unavailable wiht soap” in 9.9.
Root cause mentioned as “it happens rarely due to timeout issue during multiple resubmit calls”
Hi Holger and Nanthini,
Thanks for the reponse.
Currently we are using webMethods 8.2 version. And the SOAP invoking messages are logging in the server log file. we cannot see any errors related to 503 in any of the logs but the web service consuming servers are receiving 503 error some times.

Sunil
It might be because of the maxHttp connection number limit, please check the
Server Thread Pool settings under Administration console - settings - resources
Hi Onur,
Please find the below properties listed:
Server Thread Pool
Available Threads 93 % (464 Threads)
Maximum Threads 500
Minimum Threads 10
Available Threads Warning Threshold 15 % (75 Threads)
Scheduler Thread Throttle 75 % (375 Threads)
I hope it is having threads more than sufficient.

Sunil
Hi Sunil,
Once again, do you see anything special in Error logs ? Can it be smthg related with Network layer ?
Best regards
Onur
Hi Onur,
We have checked error logs and issues at network layer. But did not find any information for the below issue.
