where can I find examples of how actions are activated from CEP
I looked in the webMethods Continuos Query Development documentation and don’t see how that is done

Please help

Hi Dario,

Actions are achieved by downstream EDA components. When the CEP engine finds a match to a query that you post, it will emit an event. The result of a query is always an event.

Once an event is fired to the event bus, it is very easy to have it kick off either a BPM process etc.

I have a few quesions about this point.
I am using CEP and ARIS Mashzone and I cant be sure about life cycle of event and CEP queries.

Queries:

  • how the CEP triggers queries ? Is a query triggered for each new event in the Broker ?
    is it regularly ?

Events in the Broker

  • I assume that Mashzone does not “remove” the event from the Broker, so is an event
    available forever in the Broker ?
