Type FUNCTION on mainframe

Hi,
can anyone give me a state on Natural type FUNCTION on mainframe?
Sure I know about the obvious features using them. But what about performance, problems, dangers, unknown or strange errors and all these?
I am in the humble position to allow or disallow the usage of them. So I would like to knwo what’s coming up … :?

Thank’s for contributions.
He.

There has been a discussion on SAG-L about this topic which may be of interest to you.

I think many of the questions you have have been hashed out there. I don’t think you would see any performance issues in using them.
