Question Installing Remote Adapters

Assuming that I am using the latest versions of all webMethods Enterprise Server and related tools, what is the minimum set of software required to install an adapter on a machine remote to the Broker?

I want to install the IO adapter on a machine and make it a client of a Broker located somewhere else on the network. I do not want the overhead of a complete webMethods Enterprise installation on the IO adapter’s host.

You need to get the separate adapters installation. This will install only the adapter monitor and then you can de-select all adapters except the IO. I do this on a Solaris 2.8 box and it typically takes up about 45MB of disk space.
