JMS Trigger vs JMS Adapter

Hi can anyone tell me
what is the difference between JMS Implementation using wm JMS trigger and JMS implementation using Wm JMS adapter.

I have worked on both but didn’t find what is the difference. why there are two concepts in webMethods.
