JDBC Adapter Hangs

Well as much as I like to rag on Windows, this actually works on the Windows platform. Here is the problem. If I have an IS server(6.0.1 sp2 running on Solaris 8) connecting to an external database via the JDBC adapter and I take the network connection to the database down(network on database side, not IS side), the flow service clocks but does not timeout. It should timeout by the way. webMethods support has duplicated the problem.

Has anyone run into this? Any solutions if you have? Settings on the JDBC connection template do not have any affect. And like I said, it works on Windows.

Okay there is a fix for this. JDBC Adapter 6.0.3 fixpak 10. I’ve tested and it does work eventually.

Would you mind posting the link to the fix described above - I’ve searched Advantage and am unable to find such a fix.

Thanks.

Alan,
I requested the fix via webMethods support. I’m not sure there is a link to the readme. All actual fixes come from support although they sometimes post the readme’s to fixes on the site. If you request it via support they will send it to you.
