IS Extended settings Show and Hide Keys

Hi Team,

We are using IS 10.7 version, In Extended settings I see show and Hide keys option. I opened show and hide keys, and I see many extended settings that were not enabled.

  1. let’s say I add one extended setting in the server.cnf file from the backend manually by Shutdown and Starting method. I see that extended setting in showing in Show and Hide keys but not on the actual IS>Extended setting list. Now is the added setting still effective if i don’t enabled it from show and hide key option?

  2. I see many settings showings in Show and Hide key option, are the setting showing in Show and Hide keys still be effective?

As per my understanding

  1. Now is the added setting still effective if i don’t enabled it from show and hide key option? Show and Hide is just to show in the IS Page the Setting which we want to see instantly. A check on that entry just indicates that it will be visible in the IS Page. Regardless of the Check , the Settings with a valid Value are all effective

  2. I see many settings showings in Show and Hide key option, are the setting showing in Show and Hide keys still be effective? I guess if a value against the Key is provided then only it is effective
