Hi everybody,
I am not sure if my topic fits in this sub-forum, but I didn’t quite know where else to put it. If it’s wrong, please move the thread.
My question:
Due to some problems with an IMAP adapter that seemingly stops retrieving e-mails after a while, we are investigating this issue together with our client’s provider running the mail server (Lotus Notes :-/).
The mail server administrators asked us, when the IMAP adapter is marking a new e-mail as “read” when getting it from the postbox:
a) immediately after reading an individual mail and passing it on to the processing service? or
b) after processing all new e-mails that have been received since the last time the IMAP adapter connected to the server?
Thank you for every expert input
Cheers,
Sascha
