How to add a portlet to the MWS menu?

When a user has the Noodle Shell, there is a hierarchical menu on the left side of the MWS window.

How do I add my own portlet into this menu, so that users can use that menu to find my portlet?

Our consultant helped me out with this. For the benefit of others, here’s how to do it.

In MWS, login as SysAdmin. In the browser’s address bar, replace the path part of the URL with /folder.root and press Enter. Navigate to My webMethods Applications / Fabric Tasks. Create a portal page. Click the triangle menu in the upper-right of the new portal page and select Properties. Make sure that “Is Task Folder” is selected, and click Apply. Then add portlets to the page. Voila!
