File Polling Issue

Is it possible to set up file polling on a shared directory. I can set it up on a local directory on the webMethods server, but I would prefer if my directory was not on the webMethods server so that I can continue to receive files in the event that the WM server is down / offline for any reason.

I am running the WM services as a Domain Admin and the shared directory is mapped for the domain admin user.

We are running WM 6.1 across the board on win2000 servers.

yes file polling will work on a Shared directories too, unless if the webMethods Server has got grants/permissions to pick up those files from that different location or box.
