Exporting Branding Config

What product/components do you use and which version/fix level are you on?

What are you trying to achieve? Please describe in detail.

Is there an easy possibility to export a branding config to a file and import again? Downloading the public-options, ui-assets and static-assets and uploading again in the same path did not work. Editing the managed object of type “brandingVariables” aso does not work. Seems somehow a service must be triggered which writes the config in the web-apps?

Hi Marco,

not an ideal approach, but this worked for me in the past:

  • Export public-options and ui-assets from the existing tenant
  • Apply a branding (without any changes) to the new tenant so that the apps exist
  • In the exported public-options change any paths referring to the existing tenant with the new tenant
  • Upload the exported apps as new versions to the branding apps on the new tenant
