Cumulocity IoT 2024 Q2 update

Cumulocity IoT has released many new capabilities during Q2 of 2024. These have been made available as soon as they were ready to all customers that were using continuous deployment (rather than using the annual release). ​​​​​​​Highlights of the new capabilities introduced in Q2 of 2024 include:

Alarms view is now easier to use in the Cockpit application providing a unified, filterable, list of all alarms, with auto-refresh and the ability to see the full details for each alarm in a details panel. Learn more

Alarms list widget for dashboards now consolidates the previous widgets into a unified widget with an option to sort alarms by date and other usability improvements. Learn more

Dashboards now easier to design and maintain. Editing dashboards is now more intuitive, with undo/redo to help you correct mistakes, and the ability to restore older versions from the version history. Learn more

Dashboard Manager view: Managing dashboard templates linked to specific device types is now more straightforward with a new view added to Cockpit. This feature allows you to see and manage all your templates in a single, centralized location. Learn more

Samples for asset models added to Digital Twin Manager. You can now get up and running with assets in Digital Twin Manager more quickly by making use of the sample asset models. Learn more

Apama EPL projects now support using Notifications 2.0 to improve robustness when receiving data. Use the new Cumulocity Notifications 2.0 bundle in your Apama EPL-based Streaming Analytics projects (note that Notifications 2.0 support for Streaming Analytics is currently in private preview). Learn more

Usage Statistics application includes usability enhancements. You are now reminded to set threshold limits to help you monitor the number of devices in each class, bar charts include totals for at-a-glance analysis and you can search through your list of subscribed applications.
