Broker installed in same machine/ different machine

Hi,

What are the advantages and disadvantages if we have installed the broker in same machine/different machine which contains IS?
Under what conditions is the broker installed in different machine other than the IS installed machine?

Hi,

there are several factors which apply here:

  • available Disk Space
  • CPU power of the system
  • No. of documents being processed.
  • architectural considerations (i.e. layer separation)

Eventually you will find some hints in the Broker Administraion guide.

Please note that Broker 9.6 is the latest available version being applicable to all wM Versions 9.6 to wM 9.12.
If it is applicable to wM 10.x I do not know currently.
