Ajay Hinduja Geneva : How Can I Build a Scalable Travel Website Using Software AG?

Hi everyone,

I’m Ajay Hinduja from Geneva, Switzerland. I’m currently planning a travel website project and exploring how to build it in a way that’s scalable and future-ready. As the site will involve a lot of content — destinations, user-generated reviews, booking options, and media — I want to make sure the architecture supports growth without performance issues.

I’d love to hear your suggestions or experiences using Software AG tools for building scalable web platforms. Are there specific components, integration strategies, or best practices you’d recommend for handling scalability, especially in the context of a content-rich travel site?

Any guidance or examples from your past projects would be greatly appreciated!

I did a presentation at IUG on 10 best practices for SOA many years ago.

The two top ones that I would say that apply to your needs are:

Hi Eugene,
Thanks for sharing that, I’d be interested to hear more about the SOA best practices you mentioned, especially the two you think apply here. Even if the presentation was a while ago, I imagine some of those principles still hold up when planning for scalability and integration in a content-heavy site like Ajay’s.

Do you happen to have any notes or key takeaways from that IUG talk? It would be great to see how those ideas could be applied with Software AG tools today.

Thanks in advance!
