Is anybody using ACF (Adabas Cache Facility) in a production environment? zVSE? zOS?
Is it useful in today’s systems, with much more central storage and the capability of having a big Buffer Pool?

Hi Andres,
Some people who have spent the time analyzing performance metrics say it does. I believe it’s like that disclaimer in car commercials after they give the fuel economy rating… “actual mileage may vary”, but it’s free, and so if you have the cycles to implement it following the guidelines published by Jim Poole, it’s very much worth it.
