How to achive Deprecated BrokerEvent functionality with UM9.12 pub/sub model

Hello users,

We are trying to replace our custom java code that uses 7.1.2 broker java client API for pub/sub model.

We want to upgrade this functionality with UM 9.12 sticking to same pub/sub model and we are currently unable to find any suitable solution or method within UM which can do what - BrokerEvent.toObject(java.lang.object) and BrokerEvent.fromObject(java.lang.object) can directly do.

Please any guidance or pointers on these would be helpful.
