I think this scenario LB – (IS1, IS2 …. ISn ) Is easiest for supporting. It is easy for updating. You can keep one instance running until you are updating offline instance. You can scale application very easy with cheap hardware and etc…
We will introduce something except that one DB instance. And unfortunately we have state full sessions in some processing’s and we need to do duplicate check service. I am not fan of this duplicate check service because we had many times re-fixed.
Yesterday I just finished migration webMethods 6.1/Windows 2000 to webMethods 6.5/HP-UX Itanium with 64 bit JVM on our development envorment is still not official used but look in good shape. And I can say this was very nice and interesting installation. I am very happy with this. And machine is faster than current machines, this is just amassing.
