Participants option in Business Process User Task

Hi Experts,

Can anyone explain about the ‘Participants’ option available for a UserTask and ManualTask in a business process?

The documentation says as below,
‘Available for user and manual tasks only. Add or remove the task participants. You can define these as roles or individuals’

What is the use-case of this option for a user task or for a manual task?

We are on 10.7 version of designer.

Any help would be much appreciated.

The use case for Participants is mainly with ARIS Process Integration with webMethods Process. If your use case for adding a User Task step in your Process model is to integrate with webMethods Task Engine, you can leave the Participants tab blank.
