Apama Community Edition has been out for just a few weeks and I’m delighted to let you that we’ve already had two great items of news: not only has Apama been named in the most recent Streaming Analytics report by Bloor Research as the undisputed champion in its field, but Bloor has reviewed the Community Edition of Apama and given it a comprehensive thumbs-up too.
In their analysis of Apama (available here: Bloor Streaming Analytics market report), Bloor say Apama’s “comprehensive combination of performance and scalability, streaming analytics operators, graphical tools and solution accelerators for application development” puts it at the top of the class. With sophisticated integration patterns for databases and storage platforms, in-memory caching for faster access, and integrated predictive analytics, it’s no wonder customers are raving about results with Bloor adding “all our reference customers for Apama highlighted stability and reliability”.
In Bloor Research’s coverage of Apama Community Edition (available from their website here: Free Apama Community Edition from Software AG – Bloor Research), they say: “This struck us as an initiative that is being done for the right reasons, by a company who understands the need to educate the wider market on the power of an emerging technology, and who has the confidence to free the reins and deliver a platform that can be used for free in production for a sensible range of use cases”.
