Delete many objects from the repository

Is there a way to delete a large number of objects from the repository? I want to delete say all modules that start with a specific letter (e.g. F*). There are approximately 1000 modules that I want to remove from the repository of about 11,000 modules.

Right now I have to delete each module. There is no way to do a mass select and then delete from what I could tell.

I know the other alternative is to reload the repository, but I am hesitant to do that because of the time it takes to reload our repository.
